A trial of the use of nano-sized WS2 oil additives in various fleet vehicles operated by a council in a mining area of regional New South Wales, Australia, has demonstrated considerable cost savings for the council and important environmental benefits. The trial showed that the additives increase the life of the oil, and its performance, thereby boosting productivity and reducing maintenance costs. The additives reduce friction and limit metal wear. They are reduce the production of harmful emissions, thus reducing the council's environmental footprint.
